DO I HAVE TO BUY A FRANCHISE?
No. OVC is an Expedia Cruises™ franchise. You would be an Independent Consultant affiliated with our franchise. This allows us to cover all the accounting, marketing, training and support so you can run your own business!
INITAL INVESTMENT
One time fee of $299 USD. Plus, $29/month system and technology fee. Optional add on: $25/month toll-free number.
COMMISION
Your commission percentage is negotiated based on your previous years’ sales. Our commission percentages are competitive with other host agencies and reviewed on an annual basis.

Commission is paid out once your customer has traveled.

DO I NEED TO HAVE AN OFFICE?
To be an Independent Consultant you will need to own a computer, have an internet connection and own a phone. Wherever you choose to work, is strictly up to you!
CAN I WORK THIS BUSINESS PART TIME?
Absolutely! As with any new business, it will take some time to start seeing a return on your investment. We want you to succeed. We know that the more time you invest, the more money you can earn, so we encourage you to put as much time into your business as possible.
DO I NEED TO HAVE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE TO BE SUCESSFUL?
No. While industry experience is helpful, our comprehensive training and ongoing support provide you with all the tools that you will need to be a success travel consultant.
DO YOU ONLY SELL CRUISES?
No. We specialize in cruises, but we also have relationships with preferred suppliers that include all-inclusive resorts, tour operators, air, travel insurance, coach and rail, shore excursions and more. This allows you to provide for every travel need that your client might have from packaged vacations to train tickets in Europe. We have it all!
ARE THERE ANY TERRITORY RESTRICTIONS TO WHERE AN IC CAN SELL TRAVEL?
No. All of our Travel Consultants are home-based and can sell travel to anyone who resides in the United States and Canada.
DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES?
Yes. Independent Consultants (IC’s) of the OVC franchise must have residence in one of the 50 the United States (excluding U.S territories). Also, IC’s must be legally entitled to work in the United States.
